About
Al Tanoura Heritage Dance Troupe was established in 1988 at Al Ghouri Palace. Presenting its performances on a regular basis, the Troupe plays an important role in reviving traditional arts and genres that were lost or vanished from the modern Egyptian dance heritage. Due to its unique nature, the Troupe participated in all the Egyptian national events and celebrations in addition to cultural exchange programs and international festivals.
Performances of the Troupe always involve folkloric musical instruments (Al Rababa, Al Mizmar, Al Sagat, Al Tabla) and vocalists who present improvised religious songs.
