The Ministers of Culture , Tourism And Antiquities Meet To Discuss The Final Arrangements for Dandara Festival In Qena
Abdel Dayem: Dandara Festival comes as part of President Al-Sisi’s declaration of 2020 as the year of culture and awareness.
Al-Anani: The festival stimulates cultural tourism and to attract the citizen's attention.
Dr. Enas Abdel Dayem, Minister of Culture, and Dr. Khaled El Anany, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, met to discuss the final arrangements of” Dandara Festival “ in Qena Governorate, which will be held from 27 February to 3 March 3 in “Dandara Temple” , “ Qena Culture Palace” and “ South Valley University “ , with the participation of a number of music, singing stars and youth Ensemble.
Furthermore, Abdel Dayem said that Dandara Festival comes in the framework of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s announcement of 2020 as a year of culture and awareness. It is the first festival to be held in Qena - one of the governorates of Upper Egypt - and it embodies one of the axes of cultural work aimed at building human beings and reshaping awareness through soft powers to improve the conscience and confront extremism and intolerance. She stressed that the various activities , which take place in various parts of Egypt, aim at spreading enlightenment and achieving cultural justice among the people of the country.
For his part, Dr. Al-Anani expressed the Ministry's complete determination to support to the Ministry of Culture, in accordance with the strategies of national work , to achieve the integration between the official institutions of the state, stressing that the target of cooperation between the state institutions aims to provide valuable services to the Egyptian citizen. He also hinted to several complementary joint projects between the two ministries during the coming period to provide services and cultural activities in the archaeological sites to demonstrate the civilized aspects of Egypt , plus, it works to attract the citizen’s attention to art, creativity and cultural heritage, which can help to stimulate cultural tourism and to provide cultural services and activities in all governorates.
It is worthy of note that the two ministers also agreed to start organizing the first art festival in “ Tel Basta “ region in the city of Zagazig in Sharkia Governorate, starting after the conclusion of “ Dandara “ Festival to continue emphasis presenting the cultural service and artistic product to all the citizens in all the governorates of Egypt.
