The Minister of Culture watches rehearsals of the play "King Lear" and welcomes back the famous artist Yehia El-Fakharany to the National Theater.

Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hano, Minister of Culture, was eager to attend the play "King Lear" rehearsals, which saw the return of the famous star Yehia El-Fakharany to the National Theater stage. The conference was attended by director Khaled Galal, head of the Cultural Production Affairs Sector, and Dr. Ayman El-Shiwy, director of the National Theater, the outstanding artist Tarek El-Dessouki.

The Minister of Culture greeted the play's star, great artist Yehia El-Fakharany, stating, "We are welcoming at your home which witnessed the brilliance of artistic figures and icons who influenced our artistic reality over many decades.". How thrilled we are to support and promote more of these artistic ventures, which enrich our culture and open the doors to meaningful conversation and connection.

The Minister of Culture confirmed that work is underway to develop a mechanism to document distinguished theatrical performances in state theatres using the latest technologies, and to work on marketing and displaying them through various media, such as television or electronic applications, to achieve a more positive impact of the art of theatre for the benefit of our societal issues.

The Minister of Culture also praised the crew's professionalism during rehearsals and wished them success in their artistic aspirations to produce classical theatrical works. The Minister of Culture praised the work of those in charge of the National Theater .

The great artist Yehia El-Fakharany, the heroes, and the work team expressed their delight at the Minister of Culture's willingness to attend the rehearsals, emphasizing that this demonstrates a firm belief in the value of art and creativity in elevating societal taste and promoting positive human values.

The National Theater Troupe, led by Dr. Ayman El-Shiwy, is producing  "King Lear," which is now in rehearsals. The artist Shady Sorour directs the show. "King Lear" is slated to be presented on 20 December.
