The Minister of Culture meets with the Governor of South Sinai to discuss implementing several projects and events within the "New Beginning for Human Building" initiative in the governorate.

 

Dr. Khaled Mubarak, Governor of South Sinai, met with Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hano, Minister of Culture, in Sharm El-Sheikh, on the sidelines of the opening of the ninth edition of the Sharm El-Sheikh International Youth Theater Festival. The meeting discussed ways and mechanisms for cooperation and intensifying cultural and creative activities in all cities of South Sinai to deliver cultural services to the people of the governorate and to enrich community awareness.

 

The Minister of Culture expressed his happiness to visit Sharm El-Sheikh, thanking the governor for the warm reception, appreciating his efforts in supporting culture, and stressing his keenness to enhance all means of cooperation with the governorate to implement various cultural activities and events. Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hano pointed out the ministry's efforts to implement many cultural and artistic initiatives and projects within the scope of the South Sinai Governorate to achieve the goals of sustainable development of the presidential initiative "New Beginning for Human Building" launched by His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

 

For his part, the Governor of South Sinai welcomed the Minister of Culture, wishing him success in his mission and stressing that the Ministry of Culture has an important role in raising awareness of the various layers of society, developing thought, working to consolidate cultural and civilizational identity, enhancing citizenship values, facing social challenges, and enhancing community cohesion.

 

Hano also stressed the ministry's keenness to support and overcome obstacles facing cultural activities, and to achieve a fruitful cultural in the governorate.

 

Dr. Khaled Mubarak stressed the coordination and cooperation to enhance cultural work, support cultural and artistic activities within Bedouin communities and valleys, to encourage cultural initiatives that contribute to building an educated society capable of achieving positive participation in all fields. At the end of the meeting, the Governor of South Sinai dedicated a souvenir gift to the Minister of culture, which is a miniature model of St. Catherine's Monastery as one of the important religious and cultural heritage sites, and a book about marine life in the city.
