The   Minister of Culture Hilmy Al-Namnam , the  General Yasin Taher, the  Governor of Ismailia, and Mahab Mmeish, Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority, concluded the 19th Edition of the Ismailia International Documentary and Short film Festival  which carriers the name of the late critic Samir Farid on Sunday evening at the Ismailia Cultural Palace .  The closing ceremonies were attended  by  Dr. Khaled Abdul-Jalil,   the counselor of the Minister of Culture for Cinema and  the Chairman of of the National Center of  the Cinema , and the  critic Issam Zakaria, the  president of the festival.

The ceremony began with honoring  the children  participated in the animation workshops held in cooperation with the Animation Community . the jury  dedicated  the shield of the festival to the name of the late director Mohamed Kamel Qalyoubi received by   his son Rami El-Kalioubi , and also  honored  the name of the late critic Samir Farid and  his son Mohammed Samir Farid was received the shield .

 Afterword’s, The Minister of Culture and the Governor of Ismailia distributed the prizes of the festival, the Animation community   gave its price to the Korean film "My Father's Room ",and  The best Arab film price was given to  "The Long Way" directed by Adel Badrawi. The jury of the Egyptian Film Critics Association gave its  prize to the Dutch film “Radio Copani “ directed by Ryber Dusky and  the jury has  choose  this film because of  its  success in challenging the difficult circumstances in order to provide a unique treatment to  an important human subject in an attractive  visual way.

 The prize of  the best film   of  the longest documentary film competition was given to : ‘Radio Koban”

The Jury Prize was given to the film :  “Those Who Remain

 The best film of the Short Film Competition prize was given to the film  : “A Man Returned”

The Special Jury Prize was given to : “Saint Lazaro's Miracle”

The best film of the  Short narrated Film Competition prize was given to the film  : “Chasse Royale”

The Special Jury Award was given to the  film “Black Mountain”

The best film of the  Animation Film  competition prize was given to the film   “My Father's Room”

the Special Jury Prize was given to the film   : ‘Silence’
