Minister of Culture met  the plastic artist "Mariam Wagih" to display her works at the ministry's headquarters in the New Administrative Capital.

Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hano, Minister of Culture, met with the plastic artist "Mariam Wagih" in his office in the New Administrative Capital, where he congratulated her on the success of her first exhibition, which was held last month in the "Salah Taher" Hall at the Egyptian Opera House, which is the first full exhibition dedicated to an artist with disabilities.

 

During the meeting, "Mariam" showed two of her paintings, and Dr. Hano expressed his happiness with the two works, stressing that they will decorate the ministry's headquarters in the New Administrative Capital, in addition to a selected group of artistic works by senior artists.

 

The Minister of Culture also encouraged "Mariam" to be more creative and to participate in the artistic activities and exhibitions organized by the ministry.

 

It is worthy of note that the first exhibition of the artist "Maryam" included 55 diverse paintings: "portraits, landscapes, and abstract art; it is the result of five years of hard work after her free study of arts.  "Maryam" studied the four departments of "graphics, sculpture, murals, and oil painting," and she participated in many international and local exhibitions, including the "Our Children" exhibition of plastic arts, for seven consecutive years, where she received the shield of the forum in its second edition. In addition, "Maryam" won the Excellence Award in the Al-Azhar Al-Sharif competition, and UNICEF praised her artistic talent.
