Minister of Culture meets with Japanese Ambassador to Cairo to discuss intensifying cooperation in cultural fields.
Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hano, Minister of Culture, met Ambassador Oka Hiroshi the Japanese Ambassador to Cairo, to discuss ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries in the cultural and creative fields.
They discussed the aspects of cultural cooperation, in addition to discussing the joint projects that reflect the depth of the official ties between the two countries. The two parties discussed the plan for joint cultural events scheduled to be during the coming period.
The meeting focused on enhancing cultural exchange between the two countries. The Minister of Culture invited the Japanese Ambassador to participate in the film festivals organized by Egypt, in order to exchange experiences and enhance communication between artists and creators from both countries.
The Minister of Culture stressed the importance of the translation from Japanese to Arabic and vice versa to introduce Egyptian culture and heritage in Japan and to introduce the Japanese culture in Egypt. He pointed out the importance of cooperating with the National Center for Translation.
During the meeting, Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hano, Minister of Culture, stressed the depth of cultural and historical relations between Egypt and Japan and the importance of these relations at all levels to serve common interests and to strengthen the bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two nations.
For his part, the Japanese Ambassador praised the fruitful cooperation between the two countries in the field of culture, as the establishment of the Egyptian Opera House is evidence of the cultural cooperation between the two countries that has extended for decades. He also pointed to the ongoing cooperation with the "Japan Foundation" in the fields of arts and teaching the Japanese language, as more than 3,400 Egyptian students are currently learning the Japanese language, which contributes to enhancing cultural exchange between the two nations in the fields of translation.
The Japanese Ambassador to Egypt stressed the depth and strength of the bilateral ties between the two countries, pointing to the ongoing fruitful cooperation between the two countries in various fields, especially the cultural field.
