Dr. Walid Qanush said: "The idea of the "Bustan Al-Ibdaa" exhibition came within the framework of implementing the Ministry of Culture's strategy to enhance the role of cultural and artistic activities in raising the levels of thought and knowledge and refining the creativity of Egyptian children.
The project targets different ages of Egyptian children in various governorates, to contribute to establishing an Egyptian personality that is aware of its identity, civilization, and national history, in addition to stating the value of arts and culture in society." The exhibition includes more than 300 artistic works, and more than 100 collective works between murals, drawings on glass and fabrics, and ceramics.
"Bustan Al-Ibdaa" is one of the initiatives adopted by the Ministry of Culture, and it is an ambitious project that aims to raise the levels of thought and knowledge, refine and sponsor promising talents of children in different Egyptian regions, in addition to allowing our children with disabilities to express their abilities to integrate them naturally into society, to achieve the principle of cultural justice.
It is worthy of note that the project was launched in July 2023 by artist Mohamed Kamal, the general supervisor, assisted by a team of specialists and administrators from the Fine Arts Sector. Over a year, the project underwent 24 tours between "Cairo, Giza, Port Said, Suez, Damietta and Gharbia", and during its successive stations, it included visits to a large number of museums, schools, factories, ports, squares, mosques, and churches in various Egyptian governorates. The number of beneficiaries reached approximately 1,300 children, and the entities with which it cooperated were more than 10 official and civil entities.
