Minister of Culture arrives in Sharjah to participate in the Artificial Intelligence and Linguistics Conference
Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hanno, Minister of Culture, arrived in Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates, to participate in the activities of the Sharjah International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Linguistics, which is being held from 17 to 18 October, at the American University of Sharjah, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah .The Conference was attended by Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Head of the American University of Sharjah, it also was held in cooperation with the Emirates Researchers Center for Research and Studies, affiliated with the Emirates Foundation for Science and Research.
Minister of Culture Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hanno is participating in the ministerial session that discusses the government strategy for linguistic intelligence and culture, with the participation of His Excellency Sheikh Salem bin Khalid Al Qasimi, UAE Minister of Culture.
On the second day of the conference, the Minister of Culture will participate in the session "Enhancing Linguistic Research through Support, Cooperation and Exchange of Experiences between the Human Mind and Artificial Intelligence", which includes a group of experts and specialists, including Dr. Abdul Aziz Al-Musallam, Head of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage, Issa Al-Hammadi, Director General of the Arab League Center for Education for the Gulf States, and Masoud Idris, Professor of History and Islamic Civilization at the University of Sharjah.
The conference will host more than 50 prominent speakers in the fields of education, scientific research, culture and technology, and leaders in various sectors. The conference will include more than 12 main sessions and discussions on various topics including the impact of artificial intelligence on government language policies to its role in preserving cultural identity in light of the rapid digital developments witnessed by the world. The conference aims to discuss the role of artificial intelligence in reshaping linguistic studies and global communication and explore mechanisms for enhancing cooperation between the human mind and artificial intelligence in the field of linguistic research
