The Minister of Culture meets with members of the Pygmies Association to discuss ways to support them and integrate their band's folk arts into the ministry's activities. Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hano, Minister of Culture, met with Mr. Essam Shehata, Chairman of the Egyptian Pygmies Association, and his accompanying delegation . the meeting was attended by writer Mohamed Abdel Hafez Nasef, Vice President of the General Organization of Culture Palaces, to discuss frameworks for enhancing cooperation and ways to integrate them into the ministry's activities and events. During the meeting, several obstacles facing the work of the Pygmies Band for Folk Arts in Alexandria were reviewed, as well as mechanisms for integrating them into the activities of the Ministry of Culture. Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hano stressed that the Ministry of Culture will continue to support all talents in society, which is one of the priorities of the political leadership. The Minister of Culture directed to quickly resolve the obstacles facing the band, including providing a suitable headquarters for training members, providing suitable clothing, and paying their overdue financial dues, in addition to preparing a program for their participation and special performances in events organized by the ministry. The Minister of Culture confirmed that he will attend one of the band's performances after resolving all obstacles. For his part, Essam Shehata and the accompanying delegation expressed their happiness with this meeting and their full confidence in the political leadership's support for them and all talented people, noting that the band is the first Egyptian folk arts band for short people and is approved by the Ministry of Culture. He also thanked the Minister of Culture for his quick response to their demands and his support for their cause. The writer Mohamed Abdel Hafez Nasef confirmed that the work will begin immediately to quickly resolve all obstacles and implement the Minister of Culture's directives in this regard, pointing out that the band will participate in the first Challenge Arts Festival, which will be organized by the General organization of Culture Palaces next December. It is worth noting that the Alexandria Pygmies Folk Arts Troupe is the first troupe accredited by the Ministry of Culture in this regard. It consists of 25 members, including dancers and administrators, and it has participated in several events, including the “Our Children” Festival for people with special needs.

The ruler of Sharjah inspects the Egyptian General Book Authority pavilion at the Sharjah International Book Fair and praises the Ministry of Culture’s publications.   His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, inspected the Egyptian General Book Authority pavilion, participating in the 43rd Sharjah International Book Fair. His Highness was received by Dr. Ahmed Bahi El Din El Asasi, head of the Egyptian General Book Authority. He dedicated His Highness a copy of the short story “Cairo Streets and Tales” and the book “School of Improving Arabic Calligraphy”.   The Ruler of Sharjah praised the Egyptian pavilion, praising the diversity of titles and publications that reflect the richness of Egyptian culture and its ancient heritage. The Egyptian Ministry of Culture is participating in the Sharjah International Book Fair, which kicked off today and will continue until 17 November, with more than 2,300 various titles from the publications of the Egyptian General Book Authority, the National Library and Archives, the General Authority of Culture Palaces, and the National Center for Translation. This participation includes prominent publications such as the "Encyclopedia of Ancient Egypt," the complete collection of Taha Hussein, in addition to  publications of literature, history, and the arts, including "Egyptian Women and the National Struggle," "Egyptian Heritag,", "Al-Hasan Ibn Al-Haytham," and "Treasures of the Egyptian National Library." It also includes distinguished publications such as "The World of Murtada Al-Zubaidi," "The Media Buzz," "The Organized Mind," "The Mongols and the Islamic World," "Why Democratic Systems Need Science," and "The Age of Innocence.".

The Minister of Culture continues his supervision visit to Upper Egypt governorates, inspecting cultural sites in Sohag. He also supervises the completion of development works on the Culture Palace and the opening of  Akhmim Culture House.   Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hano: We are committed to providing full support to organize events that enhance the Egyptian cultural identity and to complete the infrastructure projects currently being implemented in the governorate. Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hano, Minister of Culture, met with Major General Dr. Abdel Fattah Serag, Governor of Sohag, as part of his extensive visit to cultural sites in several Upper Egypt governorates, which began in the governorates of Beni Suef, Minya and Assiut. The visit was attended by writer Mohamed Abdel Hafez Nasef, Vice President of the General organization of Cultural Palaces, and Dr. Mohamed Abdel Hadi, Deputy Governor of Sohag, where prospects for joint cooperation between the ministry and the governorate were discussed, to develop the cultural work system in the governorate, expand the scope of activities and support heritage crafts. The meeting discussed ways to expand the scope of cultural activities in the governorate and their role in achieving the Egyptian state's strategy for building human beings. It also discussed the position of a number of cultural sites included in the development and efficiency-raising plan, including Sohag Cultural Palace and Akhmim Cultural House. During the meeting, Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hano stressed the special nature of Sohag Governorate, which is distinguished by its important cultural heritage, pointing out that the current cultural projects implemented by the Ministry in Sohag enhance the value of culture as a basic element for sustainable development in various governorates. The Minister stressed the Ministry's commitment to providing full support for organizing events that enhance the Egyptian cultural identity, in addition to developing appropriate visions to complete the infrastructure projects currently being implemented in the governorate

The visit was attended by : Hazem Omar, Deputy Governor, writer Mohamed Abdel Hafez Nasef, Vice President of the General organization of Culture Palaces, and Emad Fathy, Head of the Southern Upper Egypt Cultural Region. The meeting discussed studying the implementation of several cultural projects that would shed light on the rich heritage of Qena Governorate, as well as contributing to the tourism revitalization of the governorate, in addition to intensifying activities that work to raise awareness among the people of Qena. They inspected  Qena Cultural Palace and were briefed on the activities and events it offers for all age layers. The Minister of Culture directed to intensify activities and events that discuss community issues in cooperation with state institutions and relevant civil society institutions to provide services to the largest possible number of citizens. He also directed to present documentary films for children at the People's Cinema project and to hold seminars for children and youth.

Pope Tawadros II receives the Ministers of Culture and Endowments and confirms the Church's full keens to participate in supporting all activities aimed at raising awareness and building human being and society. Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hano: The Church has a major role in supporting national issues and is an integral part of the fabric of Egyptian society and a guardian of the heritage and historical trust of our country. His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark, received today, Thursday, at the papal headquarters in Cairo, Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hano, Minister of Culture, and Dr. Osama Al-Azhari, Minister of Endowments, within the framework of enhancing dialogue and cooperation between religious and cultural institutions in Egypt. The meeting discussed coordinating efforts regarding the participation of the Coptic Church and the Ministry of Endowments in the activities of the Ministry of Culture to raise awareness of human values ​​and constructive concepts, using various arts, through the activities carried out by the Ministry of Culture in the regions of Egypt. His Holiness the Pope welcomed the two ministers and their accompanying delegation and spoke to them about the Coptic Orthodox Church and its history over two thousand years, and its national role throughout its journey, noting that writing the biographies of the Coptic Patriarchs presents a multi-angled picture of Egypt's history. His Holiness the Pope expressed the Church's full readiness to participate in supporting all activities that aim to raise awareness and build the individual and society. For his part, Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hanno expressed his appreciation for the role of the Coptic Church in supporting national issues, stressing that the Church is an integral part of the fabric of Egyptian society, and is a guardian of the heritage and historical trust of our country. He pointed out the importance of cooperation between cultural and religious institutions to educate young people and adolescents about the concepts of national unity, rejecting extremism, and promoting the values ​​of tolerance and acceptance of others. Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hanno pointed out the Ministry of Culture's keenness to cooperate with the Egyptian Church to present cultural and artistic events and activities at the Church's headquarters in the governorates, through which awareness can be raised to build the Egyptian individual. In the same context, Dr. Osama Al-Azhari stressed the need to enhance cooperation between the Ministry of Endowments and the Church in spreading the values ​​of tolerance and moderation, noting that this cooperation reflects the cohesion and unity of Egyptian society. At the end of the meeting, the Minister of Culture dedicated His Holiness the Pope the book "Churches in Egypt since the Holy Family's Journey to the Present Day" and a copy of the painting "The Nun" drawn by the late Egyptian artist Ahmed Sabry in 1929, which became known worldwide as the "Egyptian Mona Lisa", in which the artist drew a picture of a nun inspired by the features of the Egyptian character. For his part, Pope Tawadros dedicated the Ministers of Culture and Endowments the book "One Hundred Coptic Personalities on the Land of Egypt".

Minister of Culture inaugurates the activities of the ninth edition of the Cairo International Forum for the Art of Arabic Calligraphy Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hano: Arabic calligraphy is a living art that is renewed and developed through generations and it is an inexhaustible source that inspires artists and creators throughout the ages. Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hano, Minister of Culture, inaugurated the activities of the ninth edition of the Cairo International Forum for the Art of Arabic Calligraphy, "The Great Calligrapher Mohamed Hamam Edition, which is organized by the Cultural Development Fund Sector. Headed by architect Hamdi El-Satohi, Assistant Minister for Cultural Projects and Supervisor of the Fund Sector, in cooperation with the Egyptian Society for Arabic Calligraphy. This edition bears the slogan "Renewed Building." it was attended by : Dr. Osama Talaat, Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Culture; Dr. Walid Qanoush, Head of the Plastic Arts Sector; the great artist Mohamed Baghdadi, General Commissar of the Forum; and an array of participating artists.  Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hano, Minister of Culture, said that the Arabic Calligraphy Forum celebrates art that reflects our identity and the Islamic civilization. As we celebrate this great art, we celebrate our history and civilization, and we emphasize the importance of preserving this precious legacy, through which we emphasize that Arabic calligraphy is not just a traditional art, but rather a living art that is renewed and developed with each generation. It is an inexhaustible source that inspires artists and creators throughout the ages. In our contemporary world, characterized by speed and technological development, Arabic calligraphy still maintains its charm and magic, as a way of self-expression and a gateway to beauty and creativity.  The Minister of Culture called on artists, calligraphers, researchers, and fans of Arabic calligraphy to participate actively in the Activities of this forum and to contribute to enriching this ancient cultural heritage. And to pass it on to future generations as a witness to our creativity and civilization. The activities of the new edition began with the opening of the "General Exhibition of Arabic Calligraphy" at the Palace of Arts, in the Opera Square, with the participation of 160 male and female artists from 16 Arab and foreign countries, namely: "United Arab Emirates, Algeria, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, India, Lebanon, Poland, Sultanate of Oman, Iraq, China, Syria, Indonesia, Morocco, Thailand, Libya, Italy, Yemen. The number of participants in the official competition of the forum reached 80 contestants from Egypt and 31 foreign and Arab contestants, in addition to the participation of a group of senior calligraphers, guests of honor , honorees, and the participating trainees from the "Khader Al-Borsaidi School of Arabic Calligraphy in Cairo," numbering 35 male and female students. The activities also included organizing an International Scientific Symposium held at Al-Hanager Cinema from 25 to 27 October 2024, which discusses and presents several academic researches related to the arts of Arabic calligraphy, in addition to presenting specialized artistic workshops that provide Rich practical experiences for those interested in Arabic calligraphy.

To His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah During his official visit to the United Arab Emirates, Dr Ahmed Fouad Hano, Minister of Culture, was keen to hand over the "Nile Prize for Arab Creators" medal to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi,  Ruler of Sharjah, this award which was announced last May according to the vote of the Supreme Council of Culture. The Minister of Culture confirmed that granting His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi the "Nile Prize for Arab Creators" is a well-deserved honor for a personality who has positively and significantly influenced Arab culture. It reflects great appreciation for his precious contributions in this field. The Minister of Culture said that His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi is considered to be one of the most prominent figures who have significantly contributed to the promotion of Arab culture. Hano pointed out that his contributions in this field cannot be overlooked, as he has played a pivotal role in many important cultural projects. Among the most notable contributions is the "Historical Dictionary Project," which, for the first time, united the Arabic language academies, contributing to the preservation of the linguistic and cultural identity of the Arab world. His Highness also made significant efforts in rescuing and restoring the Egyptian National Library in Bab al-Khalq, in addition to establishing the Documents House in Fustat, and other important cultural projects. These projects reflect his constant commitment to enhancing cultural cooperation and developing the cultural infrastructure in the region, as well as His Highness's knees to foster joint cultural collaboration

Angham at the Egyptian House of Culture   The Ministry of Culture welcomed the artist Angham, who returns to the Egyptian House of Culture with a major concert next November, not only as one of the most prominent singing stars but also as a genuine daughter of Egyptian culture.  This return represents the continuation of a journey of artistic and creative achievements. Angham is considered one of the icons of singing and a distinguished artistic symbol.   Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hano, Minister of Culture, met with the great artist Angham to discuss the arrangements for organizing a distinguished singing concert organized by the ministry of culture next November.   During the meeting, Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hano stressed the prominent role played by the artist "Angham" in the singing field, describing her as "one of the symbols of Egypt that we are proud of and happy with," noting that Angham is one of the most important singing voices that has her distinctive mark. He added that organizing this concert comes within the framework of the ministry's keenness to support authentic arts and encourage great artists to present their creativity that elevates the collective sense and general artistic taste.   For her part, the artist Angham expressed her happiness to meet the Minister of Culture, praising the role of the Ministry in supporting artists and allowing them to interact with their audience through high-level platforms. Angham added that to return to perform a concert is an opportunity to revive memories, and she looks forward to presenting an artistic evening that suits the Egyptian audience that has always supported her artistic career.

Minister of Culture arrives in Sharjah to participate in the Artificial Intelligence and Linguistics Conference Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hanno, Minister of Culture, arrived in Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates, to participate in the activities of the Sharjah International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Linguistics, which is being held from 17 to 18 October, at the American University of Sharjah, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah .The Conference was attended by Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Head of the American University of Sharjah, it also was held in cooperation with the Emirates Researchers Center for Research and Studies, affiliated with the Emirates Foundation for Science and Research.   Minister of Culture Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hanno is participating in the ministerial session that discusses the government strategy for linguistic intelligence and culture, with the participation of His Excellency Sheikh Salem bin Khalid Al Qasimi, UAE Minister of Culture. On the second day of the conference, the Minister of Culture will participate in the session "Enhancing Linguistic Research through Support, Cooperation and Exchange of Experiences between the Human Mind and Artificial Intelligence", which includes a group of experts and specialists, including Dr. Abdul Aziz Al-Musallam, Head of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage, Issa Al-Hammadi, Director General of the Arab League Center for Education for the Gulf States, and Masoud Idris, Professor of History and Islamic Civilization at the University of Sharjah. The conference will host more than 50 prominent speakers in the fields of education, scientific research, culture and technology, and leaders in various sectors. The conference will include more than 12 main sessions and discussions on various topics including the impact of artificial intelligence on government language policies to its role in preserving cultural identity in light of the rapid digital developments witnessed by the world. The conference aims to discuss the role of artificial intelligence in reshaping linguistic studies and global communication and explore mechanisms for enhancing cooperation between the human mind and artificial intelligence in the field of linguistic research

Minister of Culture meets with Romanian Ambassador to Cairo to discuss enhancing cultural cooperation between the two countries. Minister of Culture and Romanian Ambassador discuss the first official Romanian participation in the Cairo International Book Fair 2025. Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hano, Minister of Culture, met with Ambassador Olivia Nodiran, Romanian Ambassador to Cairo, to discuss ways to enhance cultural cooperation between Egypt and Romania. The meeting discussed several joint cultural initiatives and projects that aim to enhance cultural and artistic exchange between the two countries, including preparing to celebrate the 120th anniversary of bilateral ties between the two countries. It is scheduled to organize several joint cultural events. The meeting also discussed the proposals for the first official Romanian participation in the activities of the Cairo International Book Fair 2025, in addition to cooperating in the field of filmmaking, especially "youth cinema," and exchanging participation in film festivals in the two countries. The meeting also reviewed mechanisms for cooperation in the field of translation and shed light on the Egyptian and Romanian cultures through the exchange of translation between the two countries. The Minister of Culture stressed the depth of bilateral ties between the two countries and the cultural and historical ties that unite the Egyptian and Romanian peoples, and he explained the importance of strengthening cooperation with Romania in the cultural field, noting that cultural exchange represents an effective way of enhancing dialogue between nations and it builds bridges of communication, and he pointed out that there are many opportunities that can be used to deepen cooperation in arts and culture between the two countries.  For her part, the Romanian Ambassador to Cairo expressed her happiness with the ongoing cooperation with the Egyptian Ministry of Culture and stressed Romania's determination to support all efforts aimed at expanding the scope of cultural cooperation, noting that culture plays a fundamental role in enhancing understanding between countries.

Minister of Culture inaugurates the "Generations Communication" exhibition at the Mohamed Mahmoud Khalil and his wife Museum. Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hano, Minister of Culture, inaugurated the "Generations Communication" exhibition as part of the new artistic season in "Horizon" Hall at the Mohamed Mahmoud Khalil and his wife Museum. It was organized by the Plastic Arts Sector, headed by Dr. Walid Qanoush. The Minister of Culture applauded the exhibition concept, which unites the works of two generations of plastic arts pioneers, namely artist Hussein El-Gebali and artist Sayed Qandil. He emphasized that these exhibitions enhance the artistic movement and cultivate their aesthetic taste.  The exhibition's commissioner, artist Tamer Assem, stated: "Three works of pioneers in the field of plastic art are presented in the exhibition: artist Hussein El Gebaly, one of the most well-known engraving artists in Egypt, who served as the head of the Plastic Artists Syndicate and the head of the Contemporary Engraving Art Association; artist Hussein El-Gebali; and artist Sayed Qandil  , who served as the dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Helwan University and the university’s head; he has made notable contributions to the field of plastic art.”

Minister of Culture inaugurates the "New Life for an Ancient Heritage" exhibition as part of the celebration of World Architecture Day. Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hano, Minister of Culture, inaugurated the "New Life for an Ancient Heritage: Trends for Re-employing Historic Buildings in Egypt" exhibition at the Hanager Arts Center, which will continue until Wednesday,  16  October 2024. On the occasion of World Architecture Day, the Plastic Arts and Architecture Committee of the Supreme Council of Culture, led by Dr. Osama Talaat, the National Authority for Urban Harmony, led by Engineer Mohamed Abu Saada, and the Cultural Production Affairs Sector, led by Director Khaled Galal, collaborated to hold this exhibition. It showcases efforts to bring historical structures back to life and use them in creative ways that complement contemporary living. The Minister praised the presented artworks, which brilliantly embody the aesthetics of Egyptian heritage and present innovative visions for re-employment. He stressed the importance of this event in raising awareness of the importance of preserving and developing architectural heritage. Dr Ahmed Fouad Hano said that this exhibition represents an important step towards integrating heritage with modern innovations and trends, which contributes to preserving our Egyptian identity and enhancing our creativity” . The exhibition included a variety of artworks that used modern techniques to reimagine historical buildings and provide new visions about our architectural identity. The opening of the exhibition was followed by a symposium held at Hoda Wasfi Hall at the Hanager Arts Center, with the participation of several specialists in the field. The symposium discussed contemporary practices, reuse, and compatible employment of heritage buildings in developing the local community and raising awareness of architectural heritage through its activities and artistic and cultural events, which help improve and raise the standard of living and the quality of urban life.
